Ingredients for oven fried chicken recipe
1 table spoon butter or extra virgin olive oil if you are way too calorie conscious
2/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 ½ tsp paprika
Salt to taste
¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
3 pounds Chicken pieces
Heat the oven to 425 degree. Spread butter or extra virgin olive oil on baking tray with the help of a brush.
Mix all seasoning with flour. Mix them well. Place chicken pieces in flour mixture and coat them evenly on all sides. Place skin side down on the baking tray and place the tray in oven for about 35 minutes.
Now turn the chicken pieces with tongs and bake then for 15-20 minutes more or until the juices are released from the chicken pieces. This recipe serves 4 to 6 people.
You can add value to the meal and make it a one dish meal by serving side salad with light dressing, some greens such as blanched asparagus, spinach or snow peas.
