Kentucky Fried Chicken Recipe

Possibly, the whole of America and some other countries are hunting around for Colonel Harland Sanders! Not that he is WANTED, but just because his Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe has left almost everyone licking their lips. Bad news – Leave alone Col. Sanders, you wouldn’t even be able to find the highly acclaimed and the multi-million dollar, Kentucky Fried chicken recipe.

You must either be brave or foolish enough to try to break open a Louisiana safe that stores this recipe and if any indications are to go by, doing so is surely going to be a gargantuan task. Why can’t we just sit back and admire the taste that has left each one of us asking for more?

Known as the secret recipe, it all really started way back in 1930s, when Colonel Sanders began preparing fried chicken in his own style by mixing 11 herbs and spices. What resulted was a dish of fried chicken, which people had never tasted then. And yes, over the years, KFC has not lost any of the old charm.

The number of chicken offerings would have increased by every passing year. The prices may fluctuate here and there. But two things remain constant – 1) The secret recipe’s flavor of KFC and 2) The loyalty of people who just love munching KFC’s chicken palates.

As mentioned before, it is hard to get your hands on Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe. Based on my knowledge of preparing Fried Chicken, and after I tasted some of KFC products, I believe a lot of emphasis has to be given to Crisco oil, which works really well in frying the chicken. Remember – 11 herbs and spices, which has been the backbone of all KFC dishes!

It will possibly take you some years to understand the herbs and spices involved in preparing KFC dishes. Powdered rosemary and oregano were two spices/herbs that I think are integral to a Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe, but I believe some more visits are required for me to decode this recipe completely.

A lot of websites have come up on the Internet that promise to tell you that they have found the secret of Kentucky Fried Chicken recipe. Well, even if they have found it, one thing is for sure – KFC magic will be KFC magic. You can duplicate the recipe, but you can’t duplicate the magic for sure.

Why would I do that anyways? I would rather prefer sitting in a KFC outlet, and enjoy my Chicken Wings!!
